AI Fields — Let Orsa AI Fill In Your Ideas
Add an Orsa AI field to a content group, write one prompt with {{Title}}, {{Description}} and your own fields, then click Ask Orsa AI on any idea to get a caption, hashtags or hooks written for it.
An Orsa AI field is a custom field that Orsa AI writes for you. You set up one prompt for the whole content group, like “Write an Instagram caption for {{Title}}”. Then, on any idea in that group, click Ask Orsa AI and the answer is written into that idea’s field.
It’s handy for the small pieces of copy every idea needs: a first-draft caption, a set of hashtags, three hook lines for a video, or a one-line summary for your client.
You add and set up Orsa AI fields on the Content Groups tab. You use them on each idea, under Custom Fields. For groups and fields in general, see Content Groups and Custom Fields.
Quick start (5 minutes)
- Open Content Groups and pick a group in Select group.
- Click Add field. Name it “Caption”, choose Orsa AI as the Type, and click Create.
- Click the three dots on the new field and choose Configure AI.
- In Prompt, type:
Write a short Instagram caption for this post idea: {{Title}}. Details: {{Description}} - Click Save.
- Open an idea in that group. Under Custom Fields, find Caption and click Ask Orsa AI (the sparkle icon).
- After a few seconds, the caption appears in the field.
Add an Orsa AI field to a group
On an existing group
- Open Content Groups and pick the group.
- On the Fields tab, click Add field.
- Type a Name that says what Orsa AI writes, like “Caption draft” or “Hashtags”.
- Under Type, choose Orsa AI.
- Click Create.
When creating a group
In the Create New Group window, click Add Custom Field and choose ai as the type. It’s the same Orsa AI field.
A new Orsa AI field has no prompt yet. Set one up before anyone clicks Ask Orsa AI. See Set up the prompt with Configure AI. Each group can have several Orsa AI fields, each with its own prompt.
Set up the prompt with Configure AI
- On the group’s Fields tab, click the three dots on the Orsa AI field.
- Choose Configure AI.
- Fill in the settings below.
- Click Save.
The settings apply to every idea in the group. Changing them doesn’t change answers already written. Click Ask Orsa AI again on an idea to get a new answer with the new settings.
Role Who Orsa AI should be when it writes. Describe your brand and voice here, because an Orsa AI field only knows what you tell it in these settings and the idea’s fields. It doesn’t read your Brand Kit or brand info by itself.
Example: “You are the social media copywriter for Bloom & Co, a family-run florist in Leeds. Your tone is warm, friendly and a little playful.”
Model The AI model that writes the answer. You can pick GPT-3.5 Turbo (fast, for simple tasks), GPT-4 (for detailed, accurate answers), GPT-4.1 Mini or O4 Mini. New Orsa AI fields start on GPT-3.5 Turbo.
Fields
Buttons for the fields you can use in the prompt. Click one to insert it where
your cursor is in Prompt, like {{Title}}. See
Use your idea’s fields in the prompt.
Prompt
What you want Orsa AI to write. This is required. Use {{...}} to bring in each
idea’s own details.
Example: “Write an Instagram caption for this post: {{Title}}. Details: {{Description}}.”
Guidelines Rules for every answer. They’re added after the prompt. Use them for things like spelling, emojis, words to avoid and how to end.
Example: “Use British spelling. Use at most 2 emojis. No hashtags. Never mention prices. End with a question.”
Maximum output How long the answer should be, in words, from 50 to 500. New Orsa AI fields start at 100. Orsa AI is asked to stay under this length, so answers are usually shorter. It isn’t a hard cut-off.
Temperature How creative the answer is, from 0 to 1. Lower gives focused, predictable answers (good for hashtags or summaries). Higher gives more varied answers (good for captions and hooks). New Orsa AI fields start at 0.7. O4 Mini doesn’t use this setting.
Use your idea’s fields in the prompt
Put a field’s name in double curly brackets, like {{Platform}}. When you click
Ask Orsa AI on an idea, each one is replaced with that idea’s value.
What you can use
{{Title}}: the idea’s title.{{Description}}: the idea’s description. Click Description under Fields to add it.{{Status}}and any Text, Select, Multi Select or URL field: the text or option chosen on the idea.- Any Date or Date And Time field: the date.
- Number and Rating fields: the number. Checkbox fields: “Yes” or “No”.
- Members, Files, Product and content fields (like Design): the names of what’s attached, separated by commas.
- Another Orsa AI field: that field’s current answer. Type its name yourself.
Rules for variables
- Type the name exactly as it appears on the Fields tab, including capital
letters and spaces.
{{post date}}doesn’t match a field called “Post Date”. - If you rename a field, its name in your prompts is updated for you.
- If a variable doesn’t match any field in the group (a typo, or a deleted field), Ask Orsa AI stops and names the variable it couldn’t find.
- If the field is empty on an idea, Orsa AI gets nothing in its place. Fill in the fields your prompt uses before you click Ask Orsa AI.
Example: A group has a Platform select field and an Offer text field. The prompt “Write a caption for {{Platform}} about: {{Title}}. Mention: {{Offer}}” on the idea “Spring bouquets are here”, with Platform = Instagram and Offer = 10% off this weekend, becomes “Write a caption for Instagram about: Spring bouquets are here. Mention: 10% off this weekend”.
Get an answer with Ask Orsa AI
You can use an Orsa AI field in two places:
- On the idea’s page, under Custom Fields.
- On the Ideas board in Table, by clicking the Custom Fields pill on the idea’s row.
Then:
- Fill in the fields your prompt uses, like the description.
- Click Ask Orsa AI (the sparkle icon) on the Orsa AI field.
- Wait a few seconds while it writes. The answer appears in the field.
Good to know
- Each answer replaces the last one. There’s no undo or history of earlier answers. Copy anything you want to keep before you click Ask Orsa AI again.
- The answer is saved on the idea, so everyone in your brand sees it.
- Use Follow up to steer an answer. Type a request like “make it shorter” and Orsa AI rewrites the current answer with it in mind.
- Answers can have paragraphs and bullet lists. In the Table, only the first few lines show. Open the idea to read the whole answer.
- You can edit the answer by hand. Click the text, change it, and click away to save. Saving an edit removes the paragraph and list formatting.
Prompt examples for small businesses
Each example lists the extra fields its group needs. Add them first on the group’s Fields tab.

Result for “Mother’s Day pre-orders open”: a three-sentence caption about booking flowers early, ending with “Order online today and we’ll take care of the rest.”

- Maximum output: 60. Temperature: 0.9.
Ideas for using Orsa AI fields
A first draft of every caption Add a “Caption draft” field to your posting group. When an idea is approved, click Ask Orsa AI, then tweak the draft by hand.
Example: A two-person bakery team drafts captions for the week’s five posts in one sitting, then edits each one in the field.
Client-ready summaries Add a “Client summary” field with the prompt “Summarize this idea in 2 sentences for a client who hasn’t seen it: {{Title}}. {{Description}}”. Use it in review emails and comments.
Several angles on one idea Add two Orsa AI fields, “Angle: educational” and “Angle: behind the scenes”, with different prompts. Compare them and pick the best.
Build on another Orsa AI field Use one Orsa AI field’s answer in another prompt, like “Write 5 hashtags for this caption: {{Caption draft}}”. Ask Orsa AI on the caption first, then on the hashtags.
Tips for the best results
Put your brand in the Role. The Orsa AI field doesn’t look up your brand info by itself. A Role like “You write for a family-run florist in Leeds, warm and playful” makes a big difference.
Write good descriptions on your ideas.
{{Description}} is usually where the real detail comes from. “Spring bouquets”
gives a generic answer. “Spring bouquets, tulips and daffodils, from £25, same-day
delivery in Leeds” gives a useful one.
Use Guidelines for rules, the Prompt for the task. Keep the Prompt about what to write, and put your house rules (emojis, spelling, words to avoid) in Guidelines, so you can reuse them in every Orsa AI field.
Use Select fields for things the prompt depends on. A Platform or Audience select gives Orsa AI a clean value every time. A free-text field invites typos.
Match Temperature to the job. Use 0.2 to 0.4 for hashtags, summaries and lists. Use 0.7 to 0.9 for captions and hooks.
Keep Maximum output tight. Social captions rarely need more than 80 words. A lower limit gives tighter copy.
Test on one idea first. After changing Configure AI, try Ask Orsa AI on one idea before using it across the group.
Copy answers you like before asking again. Each Ask Orsa AI replaces the field’s text. There’s no way to get an old answer back.
Common questions
Ask Orsa AI says “AI config prompt is missing. Please add a prompt to the AI config in group settings.” The Orsa AI field has no prompt yet. Open the group on Content Groups, click the three dots on the field, choose Configure AI, write a Prompt and click Save.
Ask Orsa AI says “The prompt uses {{…}}, but this group has no field with that name.”
A {{...}} in the prompt doesn’t match a field in the group. Check the spelling
and capital letters against the Fields tab, and remove any field you’ve
deleted.
Ask Orsa AI says “Orsa AI couldn’t answer right now. Please try again.” Orsa AI couldn’t get an answer this time. The field keeps its old text. Wait a moment and click Ask Orsa AI again.
Saving Configure AI says “Failed to save AI config”. Check that Model is one of GPT-3.5 Turbo, GPT-4, GPT-4.1 Mini or O4 Mini.
Ask Orsa AI replaced an answer I liked. Can I get it back? No. Each answer replaces the last one, with no history. Copy answers you want to keep somewhere safe first.
The answer is longer than my Maximum output. Maximum output asks Orsa AI to stay under that many words, but it isn’t a hard limit. Lower it, or add “Keep it under 50 words” to Guidelines.
Changing Temperature makes no difference. O4 Mini doesn’t use Temperature. Switch to another model if you want to control it.
I changed the prompt, but my ideas still show the old answers. Saved answers don’t update by themselves. Click Ask Orsa AI on each idea to get a new answer.
My edited answer lost its bullet points. Editing an answer by hand saves it as plain text. Click Ask Orsa AI again if you need the formatted version, then copy it.
Does Orsa AI know about my brand when it fills in a field? Only what’s in Role, Prompt, Guidelines and the idea fields you use as variables. Describe your brand in Role or Guidelines.
Do Orsa AI field answers use my AI credits? Not at the moment. Answers in Orsa AI fields aren’t counted in your brand’s AI credit usage.
Is this the same as chatting with Orsa AI? No. An Orsa AI field writes one piece of text per idea from a fixed prompt. To chat with Orsa AI, brainstorm ideas or get suggestions you approve, click Ask Orsa AI at the bottom right of the Organize page. See Meet Orsa AI.
