Sending Feedback and Reporting Bugs

Send feedback and feature requests from the Feedback page, follow their status, and report bugs with a screenshot from your account menu.

There are two ways to tell the Orsa team something:

  • Feedback is for ideas, suggestions and feature requests. You can attach pictures and follow what happens to your request.
  • Report a bug is for when something is broken. It opens a quick form right on the page you’re on, so you can attach a screenshot of the problem.

Both are in your account menu: click your profile picture at the bottom of the sidebar. On a phone, tap Profile in the bottom bar.

Quick start (5 minutes)

To suggest a feature:

  1. Click your profile picture at the bottom of the sidebar.
  2. Click Feedback.
  3. Describe what you’d like in the text box.
  4. Click Submit.

To report a bug:

  1. Go to the page where the problem happens.
  2. Click your profile picture, then Report a bug.
  3. Describe what went wrong and click Send Bug Report.

Send feedback or a feature request

  1. Click your profile picture at the bottom of the sidebar, then Feedback. You can also go straight to the Feedback page.
  2. Stay on the Submit Feedback tab.
  3. In Provide feedback or describe the feature, explain what you’d like and how it would help you.
  4. To add pictures or videos, click the file button and pick one or more files. They’re listed under Uploaded Files:.
  5. Click Submit.

When it’s sent, you’ll see Feedback submitted successfully! and the form clears. The Orsa team gets a notification.

Example: “When I approve a design, I’d like to schedule it straight from the Reviews widget on Home. Right now I open the design, go to Publish, then come back. That’s 20 clicks a day for our three brands.” Attach a screenshot of the Reviews widget.

Back takes you to the page you were on before.

Follow your requests on the Feature Requests tab

The Feature Requests tab lists:

  • Everything you’ve sent from the Feedback page.
  • Requests from other people that the Orsa team has made public, while they’re still open.

Each request shows its description, any pictures, the date it was sent and a status:

Status What it means
PENDING Received and waiting to be looked at
IN PROGRESS The team is working on it
RESOLVED Done
REJECTED The team decided not to do it

Only the Orsa team can change a status. A Private label means only you and the Orsa team can see that request.

Click a picture to see it bigger. Click it again to close it.

Report a bug

Report a bug sends a report straight to the Orsa team from the page you’re on.

  1. Go to the page where the problem happens, so the report comes from there.
  2. Click your profile picture at the bottom of the sidebar. On a phone, tap Profile.
  3. Click Report a bug. A Report a Bug form opens.
  4. In Description, write what you were doing, what happened and what you expected. The placeholder reads What’s the bug? What did you expect?
  5. On a computer, click Add a screenshot to include a picture of the page.
  6. Click Send Bug Report. You’ll see Thank you for your report!

Click Cancel to close the form without sending.

You don’t need to add your name or email. Your username is attached to the report for you.

Bug reports go to the team’s bug tracker. They don’t appear on the Feature Requests tab.

Example: “I clicked Download on my design and picked PDF. Nothing downloaded, and the button kept spinning. I expected a PDF of all 3 pages.” Add a screenshot showing the spinning button.

Ideas for using feedback

Tell the team what slows you down. The best requests describe a real task.

Example: “Please add Pinterest publishing. Half of our wedding-cake customers find us there, and I post every Pinterest pin by hand.”

Report bugs while they’re on screen. Use Report a bug right away, with a screenshot, rather than describing it from memory later.

Check back on your requests. Open the Feature Requests tab now and then to see if a status has changed.

Tips for the best results

  • One request per message. Two ideas in one message are harder to track.
  • Say why, not just what. “So I can approve on my phone between clients” helps the team build the right thing.
  • Be specific in bug reports. Say what you clicked, what happened and what you expected. Name the brand and the item if it matters.
  • Attach a screenshot. A picture often explains a problem faster than words. Pictures and videos both show on the Feature Requests tab.
  • Use the right tool. Ideas and wishes go on the Feedback page. Broken things go through Report a bug.

Common questions

I see “Something went wrong. Please try again.” Reload the page and try again. Submit stays greyed out until you’ve written something in the text box.

Can I change or delete feedback I’ve sent? No. Send a new message with the update instead.

Who can see my feedback? The Orsa team. Other people only see it if the team makes it public. Your own requests show a Private label until then.

Can I change the status of my request? No. Only the Orsa team can change a status.

The New Releases tab is empty. It lists release notes the Orsa team publishes. If it’s empty, nothing has been published there yet.

There’s no Add a screenshot button. Screenshots can only be added on a computer. On a phone, describe the problem, or send a screenshot from the Feedback page instead.

Nothing opens when I click Report a bug. Reload the page and try again. If it still doesn’t open, send the details from the Feedback page with a screenshot attached.

Will I get a reply? Watch the status on the Feature Requests tab. Bug reports don’t show a status in the app.
