Plans and Billing
Compare the Free, Solo and Teams plans, choose monthly or annual billing, buy add-on packs, manage billing in Stripe, and see what happens when your trial ends.
Every brand in Orsa has its own plan. The plan sets how much the brand can use each month: AI credits, storage, Discover sources and social posts. If you manage several brands, each one has its own plan and its own bill.
There are three plans:
- Free: what a brand uses after its trial if nobody picks a paid plan.
- Solo: for one person running a brand.
- Teams: for a small team working on a brand together.
Every new brand starts with a 14-day free trial. You manage the plan on the brand’s Subscription tab. Only the brand’s Owner and Admins can see that tab.
Quick start (5 minutes)
- Open your brand’s Subscription tab.
- At the top of Plans, pick Monthly or Annual · 2 months free.
- Click Choose Solo or Choose Teams.
- You’re taken to a secure Stripe checkout page. Enter your payment details and confirm.
- Come back to the brand’s Subscription tab. It now says You’re on Solo. or You’re on Teams.
The plans at a glance
| Free | Solo | Teams | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly price | $0 | $29/mo | $39/mo |
| Annual price | $0 | $290/yr | $390/yr |
| Users included | 1 | 1 | 3 |
| AI credits | 100 | 500 | 800 |
| Storage | 2 GB | 50 GB | 100 GB |
| Discover sources | 2 | 6 | 10 |
| Social posts | 5 | 30 | 60 |
- AI credits and social posts are allowances that refill every billing period.
- Storage and Discover sources are totals. They don’t reset.
- Every plan has the same features. The plans differ only in these limits and in the number of users.
Example: a café owner who posts four times a week needs about 17 social posts a month. Solo’s 30 posts cover that, with room for extra posts during a holiday promotion.
You can’t choose Free on the Plans list. A brand moves to Free on its own when its trial ends without a paid plan. See When your trial ends.
What counts toward each limit
The top of the Subscription tab shows a bar for each limit, like 120 of 500 credits. When a bar reaches 80%, it turns amber and shows Almost full with the add-on that gives you more room.
AI credits
- Orsa AI’s chats use credits, including the Orsa AI chats inside the editors. So do AI Design and AI blog writing. See Credits and Limits.
- Bigger jobs use more credits than small ones. For example, a long blog post uses more than a short chat reply.
- When the credits run out, AI features stop until the next billing period. Orsa AI shows You’ve used all your AI credits for this plan. Upgrade your plan or buy an AI Credit Pack to keep chatting.
Storage
- Storage counts every file saved in the brand, such as uploaded images and videos.
- Deleting files frees up space.
- When storage is full, new uploads are blocked.
Discover sources
- Each active social account, website, watchlist, subreddit and Reddit search you follow on the brand’s Discover tab counts as one source. Paused sources don’t count, and turning one back on needs a free slot.
- When you reach the limit you’ll see Limit reached: on the Discover tab. Pause or remove a source to add a different one. See Discover Sources.
Social posts
- Each post you schedule or publish to a connected social account counts as one post, from the moment you schedule it.
- Posts sent by email don’t count. Cancelled and failed posts don’t count either.
- When you’ve used them all, the publish panel says You’ve used all 60 social posts this period (with your own limit). See Scheduling a Post.
When allowances refill
AI credits and social posts count from the start of your current billing period. That’s the day your paid plan started. On a trial or a Free brand, they count from the 1st of each calendar month.
Monthly or annual billing
Above the plan cards, switch between Monthly and Annual · 2 months free.
- Monthly: you pay each month. Solo is $29 a month and Teams is $39 a month.
- Annual: you pay once a year, for the price of ten months. Solo is $290 a year and Teams is $390 a year.
The limits are the same on both. Annual simply costs less over a year.
Example: a two-person studio on Teams pays $468 a year on monthly billing, or $390 a year on annual billing.
Choose or upgrade a plan
You can pick a paid plan at any time, including during your trial.
- Open the brand’s Subscription tab.
- Pick Monthly or Annual · 2 months free above the cards.
- Click Choose Solo or Choose Teams. The button shows Redirecting… while the checkout page opens.
- Complete the payment on the Stripe checkout page.
- After paying, you land back in Orsa. Open the brand’s Subscription tab again to check your plan.
When the plan is active, the Plans cards are replaced by Current plan, with your plan’s name and a Manage plan & billing button. The badge on the Brands page changes to Solo or Teams.
Which plan should I pick?
- Pick Solo if you’re the only person working on the brand.
- Pick Teams if you want to invite teammates. Teams includes 3 users.
Add-on packs
Add-ons give a brand more room without changing its plan. You’ll find them under Add-ons (“Top up without changing plan.”) on the Subscription tab.
| Pack | What you get | Price |
|---|---|---|
| AI Credit Pack | 250 more AI credits | $5.99/mo |
| Storage Pack | 50 GB more storage | $5/mo |
| Discover Source Pack | 5 more Discover sources | $5.99/mo |
| Social Post Pack | 30 more social posts | $5.99/mo |
- Each pack is a monthly charge that sits on top of your plan.
- While a pack is active, it raises your limit every month. For example, an AI Credit Pack on Solo gives you 750 credits a month instead of 500.
- You can add packs on any plan, including during the trial.
To buy a pack
- Under Add-ons, click Buy next to the pack.
- Complete the payment on the Stripe checkout page.
- Back on the Subscription tab, the pack shows Active: 1x.
To stop a pack, click Cancel next to it. It stops straight away, and you’ll see Add-on canceled. Your limit goes back to the plan’s normal amount.
Example: a bakery is running a busy December campaign and needs more posts than Solo’s 30. The owner buys a Social Post Pack at the start of December to get 60 posts, then clicks Cancel in January.
Seats and team members
Each person who joins a brand uses a seat.
- Solo includes 1 user.
- Teams includes 3 users. You can add more people than that. Each extra person is billed as an extra seat. The Teams card on the Subscription tab shows the current price per extra seat.
- When you invite someone, the invite window reminds you: You’ll be charged a prorated amount when the member accepts the invitation. You’re charged when they accept, not when you send the invite.
Inviting needs a paid plan. A brand on its trial or on Free can’t invite new members. See Inviting Your Team.
Manage plan & billing
Once a brand has a paid plan, the Current plan card has a Manage plan & billing button.
- Open the brand’s Subscription tab.
- Click Manage plan & billing.
- Stripe’s billing page opens. There you can update your payment details and change or cancel your subscription.
- When you leave the Stripe page, you’re taken back to Orsa’s My Account page. To see the brand’s plan again, open its Subscription tab.
If you cancel your subscription in Stripe, the brand moves to the Free limits once the subscription ends. Your content stays.
Billing history
The bottom of the Subscription tab lists Billing history: each invoice’s Date, Status and Amount.
- Click Invoice to open the invoice from Stripe in a new tab. You can download or print it from there.
- Click Load More to see older invoices.
- A brand that’s never paid shows No invoices yet.
Who can see the Subscription tab
Only the brand’s Owner and Admins see the Subscription tab. Members don’t see it, so they can’t change the plan or buy add-ons.
While a brand is still being set up, Subscription isn’t in the row of setup tabs. It appears with the other tabs once you click Complete Onboarding. See Creating and Setting Up a Brand.
To check your role, look at the badge next to the brand name at the top of the brand page. See Team Roles and Permissions.
When your trial ends
Every new brand gets a 14-day free trial.
During the trial
- The brand’s limits are the same as Solo: 500 AI credits, 50 GB of storage, 6 Discover sources and 30 social posts.
- The Subscription tab title says You’re on a free trial. Under it, a blue box shows how long the trial has left, like You’re on a free trial — 9 days left.
- The badge on the Brands page says Trial.
- You can’t invite teammates yet. Inviting needs a paid plan.
When the trial ends without a paid plan
The brand isn’t locked. It moves to the Free limits on its own:
- 100 AI credits, 2 GB of storage, 2 Discover sources and 5 social posts.
- Everything you made during the trial stays: designs, ideas, documents, files and Discover sources.
- If you’re over a Free limit, you can’t add more of that item until you’re back under it. For example, with 6 Discover sources you can’t add a seventh, and with more than 2 GB of files new uploads are blocked.
- Anyone who already joined the brand stays a member.
- You can’t invite new members, and invitations that are still waiting can’t be accepted.
- The badge on the Brands page changes to Free.
- The Subscription tab says You’re on Free. with a box explaining that the trial has ended.
To get the bigger limits back, choose Solo or Teams on the Subscription tab at any time.
Tips for the best results
- Choose a plan before the trial ends if you’ve added a lot. Six Discover sources and a big asset library fit the trial, but not Free’s 2 sources and 2 GB.
- Pick Teams if anyone else will work on the brand. Inviting needs a paid plan, and Teams includes 3 users.
- Choose annual once you’re sure. It costs the same as ten months.
- Watch the amber bars. When a bar turns amber at 80%, decide whether to buy a pack or wait for the next billing period.
- Use a pack for a busy month instead of upgrading. A Social Post Pack or AI Credit Pack covers a campaign, and you can cancel it afterwards.
- Remove Discover sources you don’t read. Each one uses a slot, and freeing one lets you follow a better competitor.
- Cancel posts you no longer need. Cancelled posts don’t count toward your social post allowance.
Common questions
I don’t see the Subscription tab. Only the brand’s Owner and Admins can see it. Ask the owner to make the change. If you are the owner, finish setup and click Complete Onboarding. The tab appears with the other tabs after that.
I paid, but the Subscription tab still shows the plan cards. It can take a moment for Stripe to confirm your payment. Reload the Subscription tab after a minute.
Where do I land after paying or leaving Stripe? On the brand’s Subscription tab, after both checkout and Manage plan & billing. If the new plan doesn’t show yet, reload after a minute.
I see “Failed to open customer portal”. The app couldn’t open Stripe’s billing page. Reload the page and try again.
My AI credits ran out. What can I do? Buy an AI Credit Pack for 250 more credits, move to a bigger plan, or wait for the next billing period. See Credits and Limits.
I deleted a Discover source but still can’t add a new one. Every active source type counts, including watchlists, subreddits and Reddit searches. Paused sources don’t count. Check all the sections of the Discover tab, and reload the page.
Can I change from Solo to Teams later? Yes. Once you’re on a paid plan, click Manage plan & billing and change it in Stripe.
Do I pay for each brand separately? Yes. Each brand has its own plan, limits and invoices.
What happens to the plan if I archive a brand? Archiving a brand cancels its plan subscription and its add-on packs. Only the owner can archive a brand. See Brand Settings.
Will my content be deleted when the trial ends? No. The brand moves to the Free limits and everything you made stays.
