Finding Your Way Around

What the sidebar, brand switcher, and account menu do.

The sidebar

The strip of icons down the left side of the screen is how you get everywhere in Orsa. Click the arrow at the top to expand it and see labels next to each icon.

The brand switcher

Right below the Orsa logo is a small box showing your current brand’s logo and name. Click it to switch to a different brand, or choose Manage all brands to see every brand and create a new one.

Some sections (like Brand) only appear in the sidebar once you have a brand selected.

Example: you’re editing a design for Brand A and switch to Brand B. The Create page now shows Brand B’s designs, colors, and fonts.

Your account menu

Click your profile picture at the bottom of the sidebar to:

  • Go to My Account to update your profile.
  • Send Feedback to the Orsa team. See Feedback and Reporting Bugs.
  • Report a bug if something looks broken.
  • Switch between Light Mode and Dark Mode.
  • Open Guides — this opens these guides at orsa.social/guides in a new tab. Come back any time you’re not sure how something works.
  • Log out.

Light Mode and Dark Mode

Orsa has a light look and a dark look. Until you pick one, it follows your device’s light or dark setting, and switches when your device does.

To switch, click your profile picture at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Dark Mode or Light Mode. The menu shows the one you’re not using. On a phone, tap Profile in the bottom bar.

Your choice is saved in this browser only. Another browser or device keeps its own setting. Once you’ve picked a look, changing your device’s setting no longer changes Orsa; use the menu instead.

Locked or greyed-out items

If a sidebar item looks faded and you can’t click it, it usually means one of two things:

  1. You haven’t verified your email yet — open My Account, click Verify next to your email, and enter the code we email you.
  2. You’re still finishing brand setup (onboarding) — a brand unlocks the rest of the app once every required setup tab has at least one thing filled in: Info, Audience, Kit, Assets, Pillars, Timeline, and Playbook. Once they’re all done, a Ready to Launch! banner appears on your brand’s pages — click Complete Onboarding to activate the brand.
